A veteran of the United States Navy, Gerald was a gunner during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends.He was preceded in death by his father and mother; and a son, Jimmie Wayne Allen.Gerald leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Erma, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald 'Rickie' and Helen Allen, Idabel, Gerald David Allen Jr. and wife Sharon, Washington, DC; three step-daughters, LaWanda Blagg, Kaye Foley and husband John, Krisiti Carrion and husband Chevo, all of north Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, J.W. and Juanita Allen, Eagletown, OK: eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK. Bro.
