Gene Nolan, 83, passed away April 7, 2017, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital, in Idabel, OK. Gene was born November 30, 1933 in Blythebille, AR to Emma (Fowler) and Allie Nolan. Gene served our country in the United States Army and was a member of the Haworth Church of Christ. Gene enjoyed working with his boss and buddy Aubrey Thompson for 24 years at County District #2 as a Mechanic. He loved his kids, grandkids and enjoyed playing checkers, fishing and hunting and running deer dogs. Gene Nolan and Eupha Self were united in marriage on September 14, 1953 in Luxora, AR and shared 63 years together. Gene is survived by his wife, Eupha of the home; three daughters, Vanessa Wake and husband, Jimmy of Idabel, OK, Connie McFarland of Pottsboro, TX and Destiny Cline of Idabel, OK; seven grandchildren, Sody, Cutter, Megan, Tony, Charity, Trina and Steven; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Joey Lynn Nolan of Georgia, and a host of friends. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronnie Nolan, one grandson, Dale Gene Roberts and one brother, Bub Linebarger. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, April 10, 2017, at 10:00 AM, at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK, with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery in Idabel. The family will be recieving friends from 6pm - 8pm April 8, 2017 on Saturday evening at Brumley funeral home.
