Gary Young Obituary (1954 - 2021) - Broken Bow, Oklahoma

Gary Martin Young, of Millerton, passed from this life April 16, 2021 in Paris, TX. Gary was born March 2, 1954 in Bakersfield, CA, to Doyle and Lula Mae (Taylor) Young. Gary had lived most of his life in McCurtain County. He enjoyed spending time with good friends and family, sitting around visiting, and drinking a beer, after a day of fishing and camping on the river. He also enjoyed tinkering on vehicles at his shop with his buddies and spending a little money at the casino. He was known to partake in an occasional swig of Crown Royal and for getting away with causing a little trouble and chaos every once in a while. Gary was one of a kind and always lived life by his own rules. He will forever be missed. Gary was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cecilia (Trusty) whom he married in Clarksville, TX, on May 3, 1971; his daughter, Nita Mae Young; parents, Doyle and Lula Mae Young; siblings, Larry Young, Shirley Young, and Linda Young; and a special nephew, Joey Dean Himes. Gary is survived by his son, Marty Young, and Aletha, of Wright City; daughter, Stormy Young, of Wright City; brothers, Billy Young, of Wright City, and Teddy Doyle Young, and Janice, of Valliant; sisters, Betty Dansby, and Bill, of Rattan, and Nancy Himes, of Wright City; grandchildren, Justin, Claire, Pete, Isabella, and Legend Young, and Kenslynn, Kailynn, and Casey Gosvener; great-grandchild, Trystan; step-daughters, Shala White and Frankii Dodds; several nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, 10AM, at The Church, Millerton, OK, with Pastor Brent Coffey officiating. Burial will follow at Slater Memorial Cemetery, Wright City.
