Gary Webb

–

Haworth, Oklahoma

Gary Franklin Webb Sr, age 79, of Tom, Oklahoma, passed from this life, Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Paris Regional Health System, in Paris, Texas. Gary was born Thursday, December 12, 1946 in Berkeley, California, to Ernest Franklin Webb and Mary Josephine McDonald.

Gary was a man who stood firmly in his beliefs, loved his country, and took great pride in the life he lived. A proud Republican and strong supporter of the Second Amendment, Gary was never one to shy away from sharing what he believed in. His patriotism was especially evident in the pride he carried for his 24 years of service in the United States Navy. After spending more than enough time on the water, Gary traded life at sea for life on the road and began truck driving. He often had a love-hate relationship with the job. He loved traveling, seeing different places, and experiencing the country, but he could have done without spending quite so much time inside the truck. Gary was also a true history buff who loved learning about the past and the events that shaped the country he loved.

In his free time, Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing and proudly served his community as a McCurtain County Reserve Sheriff’s Deputy. One cause especially close to his heart was the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon, where Gary enjoyed volunteering as a pledge taker, answering calls and helping collect pledges for those in need. He also loved old country music, with Patsy Cline always topping his list of favorites. Whether he was listening to a familiar country song, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, or working on one of his many projects around the house, Gary appreciated the simple things that made life enjoyable.

Above all else, Gary loved his family. He especially enjoyed bringing everyone together for barbecues and family reunions, where good food, conversation, laughter, and memories were always plentiful. Time spent surrounded by the people he loved was among his greatest treasures. If Gary could have asked for one more day, he would not have needed anything extravagant. He simply would have wanted another day with his family and a little more time to work on the projects waiting for him at home. Gary leaves behind a lifetime of service, strong convictions, stories, laughter, and memories that his family and friends will continue to carry with them.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Katherine Susan Dyer and Rebecca Victoria Hurst; and his brother Jack Stanley Thomason.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Anita Webb of Tom, Oklahoma; his three sons Gary Franklin Webb of Palm Springs, California; Patrick Gary Webb of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and Ryan Cole Webb of Tom, Oklahoma; his daughter and son-in-law, Brandy Rhenae and Corey Dane Farley of Claremore, Oklahoma; his brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Kathy Thomason and Patrick and Marjorie Lang; and his grandchildren, Taylor Dane Farley, Madyson Grace Farley, and Shannon Logan Webb; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Tom Cemetery with Brother John Draper officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, with visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00, October 7.
