Gary proudly served our country in the United States Navy for 18 years. He served during the Vietnam War and was an Aviation Electrician helping to keep the fighter planes in the air. He enjoyed working on cars and was active on the stock market and e-trading. Gary loved to sing and was a member of the Main Street Pickers. His favorite song was (Okie from Muskogee). He was affiliated with Community Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gertrude Cooke; daughters, Jeanette Elaine Alley and Evelyn Colleen Alley; son, Johnny Wayne Alley; and brother, Billy Brown.Gary leaves to cherish his memory his son, Gary Alley Jr., Idabel; daughter, Tammy Groom and husband Michael, Sherman, TX; brothers, Earl Brown and wife Virginia, Broken Bow, Tommy Cooke, Idabel, and James Cooke and wife Ginger; grandchildren, Michael Todd Groom Jr., David Marlin Groom, and Caci LeAnn Groom; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 13, 2006 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow. Rev. Archie Phillips will officiate.
