Gale Bennett Rollins, Sr., of Broken Bow, passed from this life July 4, 2019 at his home. Gale was born December 28, 1953 in Garnett, Kansas, to Leslie Ralph and Bonnie Jean (Bennett) Rollins. Gale was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Broken Bow. He had moved to the Broken Bow area in 2002 coming from Muskogee because it was a beautiful place and he wanted him and his wife to retire there and continue their love of fishing and camping. He enjoyed fishing, camping, archery, playing dungeons and dragons and darts, and he loved being outdoors. Gale loved taking care of his kids and grandkids. He was truly Mr. Mom. Gale always attracted watchers at Lake Tenkiller as he would do swan dives into the water. He even taught his kids to dive and jump off the cliffs at Tenkiller. He enjoyed taking his kids to the lakes, rivers, and creeks, whether they wanted to go or not. Gale proudly served in the United States Navy as a certified lifeguard and an Aircraft Mechanic. He was known to have been a good listener, always there for you when you needed him, and he was without judgment of any kind. Gale had many of his children's friends consider him as a father figure. Gale was also a very avid OU Sooner Football fan, and you could guarantee that he was either watching or listening to every game usually with his friends and family. Gale married the love of his life Jacqueline Armstrong in August of 1980 in Pryor, OK. They stayed busy camping and enjoying their kids and grandchildren during their wonderful marriage. Gale was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Rollins; brother, Leslie "Butch" Rollins, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Karen Rollins. Gale is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, of the home; father, Leslie R.
