Evelyn Camacho Lee

Evelyn Camacho Lee, age 66, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Evelyn was born on Saturday, July 9, 1960, to John and Angelina Mireles Camacho in Houston, Texas.

Evelyn was a very laid back, funny, and extremely loving woman who had a strong faith in the Lord. She loved going to church, praying, and reading her Bible, and her favorite place to be was in church worshiping the Lord. Evelyn was a beautiful singer and loved using her voice to praise God. She was a member of The River Church in Houston, Texas, and after moving to Mena, she became a member of The Crossing Church. She loved sports, especially football and baseball, and was a proud sports mom who enjoyed cheering on her teams. Her favorite teams were the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans. She was very athletic in her younger years and played softball, bowling, basketball, and was captain of the drill team. She also loved listening to Dolly Parton and Elvis. Evelyn enjoyed a good road trip, camping, sitting around a bonfire, and spending time with the many dogs and cats she loved dearly. Most of all, she was a devoted grandmother who cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren and loved watching them grow. Evelyn was very proud of her family and loved each of them wholeheartedly.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; and her twin sister, Elizabeth Camacho Bockhorn.

Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Robert Lee of Mena; four sons, William Pyron of Mount Belview, Texas, Shawn Pyron of Houston, Texas, Jonathon Pyron of Austin, Texas, and Robert Stormy Lee of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Heather Lee of Houston, Texas; her brother, Gilbert Camacho of Austin, Texas; ten grandchildren; several nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
