Erma was a commissioner for Idabel Housing Authority, member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She loved spending time with her family and friends and working with housing authority.She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Baker Sr. and her father, Issac Jackson.She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Almeta Jackson, Oklahoma City; two sons, Curtis Baker Jr. and wife Clotiel, Oklahoma City, and Johnny Baker, Tulsa; two daughters, Alma Baker and JoAnn Baker both of Idabel; one brother, Samuel Jackson and wife Joe Lee, San Diego, CA.; eight sisters, Alpha Goss and husband Cemon, Idabel, Bennie Johnston and husband Jerry, Emma Jackson and Carolyn Jackson all of Oklahoma City, Shirlene White and husband Stafford, Houston, TX., Barbara Brown, San Diego, CA., Ruthia Jackson, Dallas, TX., and Alma Cannon and husband Oscar, San Diego, CA.; three uncles, Olen Cole, Oakland, CA., Hardy Jackson, Idabel, and Roy Jackson, Fresno, CA.; three aunts, Martha Dale Boyce, Compton, CA., Verlee Doran, Sacramento, CA. and Augusta Butler, Fresno, CA.; seven grandchildren, Carlos Baker and Corey Baker, Oklahoma City, Eric Caldwell, Tulsa, Brandon Baker and Robert Baker, Idabel, Michael Baker, Oklahoma City and Shaun Baker, Texas and a host of nephews, cousins and friends.Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 23, at First Baptist Westside, Idabel, with Rev. Curtis Baker Jr. officiating.
