Emma Jean Oleski Obituary (1939 - 2023)

Emma Jean Molland Oleski passed peacefully in her sleep on Christmas morning December 25, 2023. No one can ask for a more perfect present. Emma was born on Sunday, September 24, 1939 to Oscar and Myrtle (Zitzner) Molland in West Prairie, Wisconsin. She was baptized and confirmed at Northwest Prairie Lutheran Church. She attended school at the Tewalt grade school and graduated from Viroqua High School. She married John Oleski on May 2, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived for many years in the Kansas City area before retiring to the Mena, Arkansas area. Emma attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mena, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Oscar and Peter Molland; and five sisters, Ernestine Koch, Bea Marie Koch, Joan Hayhurst, Kathryn Nederloe and Danna Helgerson. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Oleski of Mena; her daughter, Mary Lowe of Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin; and one brother, Sigurd Molland of Viroqua, Wisconsin; grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as many friends in the Mena, Arkansas area. No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
