Elsie Wesley

–

Detroit, Texas

Elsie Mae Wesley, age 64, of Detroit, Texas, died Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Carrus Health in Sherman, Texas. She was born on Saturday, March 15, 1958 to Elum Johnson and Virgie Mae Emeyabbi Wesley in Sobol, Oklahoma.

Elsie loved her family and spending time with them. She was a lady of faith and served in her church at the Miracle Tabernacle Church teaching Sunday school to children for many years; also teaching Bible school every year. She read her Bible daily and served her Lord. Elsie enjoyed helping her dad keep the yard mowed, weedeated and looking nice and painting her wheelchair ramp on a regular basis. Elsie was a loving daughter, sister, nieces, aunt and friend and will be missed and loved by all who knew her.

Elsie was preceded in death by her mother, Virgie Mae Wesley.

Elsie is survived by her father, Elum Wesley of Detroit, Texas; her brother, Calvin Carney of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; her sister, Wanda Roberts of Idabel, Oklahoma; her aunts and uncles, Rebecca and Randall Jefferson of Idabel, Oklahoma and Bertha and Truman Jefferson of Idabel, Oklahoma; thirteen nephews; eight nieces; many cousins and a host of other family members and friends who will surely miss her here among us but we will rejoice knowing she is in the presence of the Lord.
