DeAnna Sue Powell, age 54, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home in Mena, Arkansas. DeAnna was born on Sunday, August 13, 1967 to Dwight Powell and Beverly (Barnes) Anglin in Texarkana, Arkansas. \n\nDeAnna was a graduate of Acorn High School. She spent many years as a stay at home mom. DeAnna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going mudding, playing card games and dominoes. DeAnna liked to go camping and be outdoors any chance she had. DeAnna was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.\n\nDeAnna is survived by her father, Dwight Powell; her mother, Beverly Anglin and husband William; one son, John Skipper and Fiancé Melisa Foster of Concord, North Carolina; three daughters, Sara and Husband Caleb Reed of Mena, Arkansas, Steffanie Skipper of Mena, Arkansas, and Ashley Skipper of Mena, Arkansas; four brothers, Duane and Wife Sherri Powell of Acorn, Arkansas, Dennis Powell of Acorn, Arkansas, Joseph Powell of Hillsborough North Carolina, and Shelby and Wife Jennifer Sullivan of Acorn, Arkansas; one sister, Violet and husband Brendan Gibbons of Potter, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.\n\nGraveside services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Gann Cemetery in Potter, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 2-4 P.M. at Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Arkansas. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas. \n \nIn lieu of flowers, family asks that contributions be made towards DeAnna's remaining funeral expenses at Bowser Family Funeral Home.
