Claudius A. Sears, 88, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 in Elmore City, OK. The daughter of Everett and Pearl Wilson Pannell, Claudius was born April 14, 1924 in Broken Bow, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Dale and Pearl Pannell and one brother, Everett Durwood (Pete) Pannell. Claudius loved her church, Bluegrass music, fishing, and visiting with her many friends She leaves to cherish her memory one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and DaVonna Smith of Elmore City; one brother, Leonard Pannell of Comanche, OK; three sisters, Dorothy Black and husband Odell, Jean Crawford and Margaret Bender all of Broken Bow; granddaughters, Amber Cargill, Cristy Smith and Anne Smith; great grandsons, Jackson and Henry Cargill and a host of nieces, nephews and a number of special friends at the Alpaca Retirement Center and the Broken Bow Senior Citizens Nutrition Center. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church in Broken Bow, OK with Rev. Terry Bradley and Rev. Dow Pannell officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
