–

Mena, Arkansas

Billy Jack Turner, age 48, of Mena, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 22, 2025, at home surrounded by family in Mena, Arkansas. He was born on Saturday, June 26, 1976, to Larry Neal and Peggy Lynn Turner.

Billy was truly a one-of-a-kind man whose presence left an indelible mark on everyone he met. A man of deep warmth and endless kindness, he was the epitome of living life with passion and joy. Family was always Billy’s number one priority. His love for his grandkids was immeasurable, and he delighted in every moment spent with them. Whether he was creating beautiful pieces of furniture, crafting leather clothing from deer hides, or simply sharing a laugh, his dedication to making his grandkids’ lives special was evident in everything he did.

Billy’s outgoing nature made him someone who could connect with anyone. He never met a stranger, always ready with a joke or a story to bring a smile to people’s faces. His humor was infectious, and his laughter could light up any room. With a heart as big as his spirit, Billy was not just a friend to many, but a family to those who needed him. His genuine care for others was evident in the way he made everyone feel like they were part of his world.

Billy was the epitome of a true outdoorsman, embracing every opportunity to be in nature. Whether it was hunting or fishing, he reveled in the solitude and adventure that the great outdoors provided. His love for animals extended to his skill and passion for riding and breaking horses, a true testament to his deep connection with nature. Beyond the wilderness, Billy’s talents didn’t stop there—he was a gifted musician who found joy in playing the guitar and singing. His music was a reflection of his soul—warm, heartfelt, and full of life. His songs were often accompanied by laughter, stories, and the simple joy of being surrounded by loved ones. Billy’s zest for life and the outdoors was matched only by his love for sharing his talents with others, making every moment a celebration of nature, family, and music.

For the last 15 years, Billy dedicated himself to the R&D industry as a machinist, a role that he excelled in with hard work and a keen attention to detail. His colleagues and friends alike knew him as someone who could be counted on for his work ethic, knowledge, and the ability to solve any problem that came his way.

Billy’s legacy will forever live on in the lives he touched—his children, his grandchildren, his friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love, laughter, and larger-than-life personality will be missed, but his spirit will never fade. Billy was, indeed, a wonder of a man, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Larry Dwayne Turner; his paternal grandparents, Edger Neal and Betty Turner, and his maternal grandparents, Billie Jean and W.J, Fite.
