Anita Tisho

Anita Louise Tisho, age 69, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Broken Bow Health and Rehab. She was born on Thursday, March 17, 1955 to Joseph Tonihka and Elouise Faye Tisho in Talihina, Oklahoma.

Anita's presence illuminated every room she entered with her infectious smile and unwavering positivity. A beacon of happiness, she radiated joy wherever she went, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Anita found immense delight in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the vibrant energy of dances and the exhilarating spectacle of rodeos. These gatherings filled her heart with excitement and left her with cherished memories to treasure. In quieter moments, Anita found happiness and fulfillment in her passions for sewing and fishing, finding peace and creativity in these activities. A faithful member of the Tohwali Methodist Church, Anita's spirituality was an integral part of her life, grounding her in love and community. Her legacy is one of warmth, happiness, and a deep appreciation for life's many blessings. Anita's memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to experience her boundless love and contagious laughter.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Morris Tisho.

Anita is survived by her brothers and sister in law, Samuel Tisho of Golden, Oklahoma and Franklin Tonihka and Janelle Wesley of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one sister, Tammy McCarrell of Valliant, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Tohwali Methodist Church at Oak Hill, Oklahoma with Brother Stanley Shomo officiating. Interment will follow in the Tohwali Methodist Church Cemetery at Oak Hill, Oklahoma. No wake service planned but visitation is during office hours at Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Justin Steers, Robert Crutchfield Jr., Tyler Tisho, Eli Tisho, Seth Tisho, and Wayne Tisho.
