Carolyn Ann Mills

Carolyn Ann Mills, age 77, of Mena Arkansas, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at The Oaks in Mena. She was born on Thursday, August 1, 1940 to Royal and Leena Honeywell in Watseka, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Paul and Bob Honeywell, and one daughter, Regina Cleary.

She is survived by three sons, Anthony Debnar, and Joseph Debnar both of Anchorage, Alaska, and Matthew Debnar and wife, Jessi of Mena, Arkansas; seven grandchildren: Misty, John, Jennifer, Amber, Payton, Sedona, and Sirena; eight great-grandchildren, Brealyn, Hadleigh, Wesson, Daniel Matthew, Ezekiel, Savannah, Sophia, and Olivia; three brothers, Lee and David Honeywell both of Arizona, and Don Honeywell of North Carolina; one sister, Ruth Council of California, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family.

Carolyn was married for 18 years and raised 4 children whom she dearly loved. She is remembered for baking bread daily, serving as an active den mother for her sons, and always doing for others. She volunteered at the fire department in Chugiak, Alaska as an EMT, a dispatcher, and ambulance driver. She was a secretary in petroleum operations in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska for a number of years. She retired from the University of Anchorage, where she worked as a secretary in the Psychology Department.

Carolyn was a Godly woman and very active in Cherry Hill Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and served as Church Secretary.

Everyone who met her was drawn to her wonderful smile and her laugh! She was very loved and will be missed.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Cherry Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Brother Grant Geiger officiating. Cremation services are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to Cherry Hill Baptist Church care of 411 Polk 72, Mena, AR 71953.
